THE SHOREBIRD COLLECTION
The Icelandic designer Sigurjón Pálsson has created a range of characterful wooden birds. The Shorebirds are turned from solid oak and their simple unadorned silhouette gives them an almost stylized expression. At the same time, a great deal of care has been paid to the small details such as variations in body thicknesses, neck length, and the positioning of the legs and beak. This gives all three birds their own unique personality and allows the design to come alive.
THE BELL LAMP COLLECTION
The expression of the Bell pendant lamp is robust, the form is simple. With its industrial, yet friendly look this directional lamp is ideal for both home decors and professional environments.
The designers Andreas Lund and Jacob Rudbeck have taken their starting point for the design in the iconic shape of a bell. The lamp's rounded silhouette and matt surface give it the impression of having been cast. The white inner side reflects the light, which falls like a cone and provides practical lighting for several purposes. The designers have payed special attention to the details, emphasizing the gathering point between the cord and the lamp itself in a contemporary way. The tactile differences between the materials create a clean, minimalistic look. The smooth aluminum against the soft rubber creates a discrete but impactful play of materials, giving life to the design.
Bell fits beautifully in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, hallway and office environment. Hang a mix of sizes in a cluster, and achieve a dramatic visual effect, use a large Bell over the dinner table, or hang the small ones in pairs in the kitchen. The Bell lamp will adorn any room in the house.
THE CRAFT COLLECTION
The Danish designer Simon Legald has created a range of kitchen utensils where excellent quality and exclusive natural materials go hand in hand. The Craft Salt and Pepper Mills, mortar with pestle and rolling pin are all made for frequent everyday use.
The entire range is made of solid oak and robust marble. The utensils have a classic look and a weight that makes them comfortable to hold. The simple, flared shapes that cut across the entire range, also discretely distinguish the Craft family traits.
Simon Legald says: "The mills, mortar with pestle and rolling pin are all traditional kitchen utensils used for active jobs in the kitchen. Therefore the utensils must naturally be durable. Additionally, the work is done by hand, so for me it is essential that the quality can not only be seen but also felt when holding the products. The marble and oak served this purpose perfectly."
THE BLOCK TABLE COLLECTION
Since 2012, the best-selling mobile side table, Block, has been headed at great speed towards the title of a modern design classic.
Designer Simon Legald was inspired by the classic trolley table, which he has updated and made his own with simple, yet impactful means. Block's rounded shape, contrasting materials and the combination of craft and industry leaves the designer's signature on the design and gives the table its unique expression.
Block has no specific direction and can be used from all four sides. It is a versatile piece of furniture with many different functions in the home. Use Block table as a serving trolley or side table, in the kitchen, as a bedside table, for a home bar or in the children's room, and use the Block shelf in multiple spaces, from your entrance hall or kitchen through to your summer house.
With its minimalist design, Block can change its character depending on the surroundings it is placed in and how it is used.
THE AMP COLLECTION
The Danish designer Simon Legald has designed a sophisticated range of lamps called Amp. The lamps are characterized by their high-quality materials of glass and marble. These add a visual fragility and sensuous heaviness to the design.
The idea for the lamp's shape came when the designer was restoring an old 1960's radio at home. While searching for spare parts for the radio, he was captivated by the glow that emits from the tube amplifier. The simple oval shape and the glow of the lamp is an obvious reference to this, just as the name Amp refers to the English term; tube amplifier. The proportions for each lamp have been carefully designed to ensure just the right balance between hard & soft and transparent & opaque.
Simon Legald says: "One can't always define where an idea for a new product comes from. But this time the inspiration was drawn directly from radio and hi-fi equipment. This is clear in the design of Amp. There is something special about the round, transparent shape of a tube amplifier that I thought would translate nicely into a lamp. I opted for the same type of glass used for an hourglass, as the shape had to be curved and narrowed in. To counterbalance the delicacy of the glass, I used marble. I think that the two materials work well together.
